How to enable iOS 7 AirDrop on your iPhone and iPad

If you’re running iOS 7 on your IPHONE or IPAD, you’ve got AirDrop, which gives you the ability to send files to other AirDrop users over-the-air. Before being able to use it though, you’ll need to make sure it’s enabled on both the receiving and sending sides. Here’s how: How to enable iOS 7 AirDrop so only contacts can send you files How to enable iOS 7 AirDrop so everyone can send you files How to enable iOS 7 AirDrop so only contacts can send you files Launch Control Center by sliding up from the bottom of any Home screen on your IPHONE or IPAD running iOS 7. Tap on AirDrop. Now choose the Contacts Only option. You should now see that where you tapped on AirDrop in step 2 now says AirDrop: Contacts Only. You’re now ready to send and receive files via AirDrop with anyone that’s in your Contacts. How to enable iOS 7 AirDrop so everyone can send you files Launch Control Center by sliding up from the bottom of any Home screen on your IPHONE or IPAD running iOS 7. Tap on AirDrop. Now choose the Everyone option. You should now see that where you tapped on AirDrop in step 2 now says AirDrop: Everyone. That’s all there is to it. No matter which option you chose, you’re now ready to start using AirDrop to send and receive files. Keep in mind that almost all the built-in apps such as Photos have options to share files via AirDrop. If the person you want to send a file to is close to you, it’s typically a much faster way to transfer files than the cellular network, which makes it a great option for times when you have no WiFi or crappy cell service.
